Today we had Jacob Baptized. It was a very nice private gathering of our family and friends. The entire ceromony only lasted a only a short time but Jacob did wonderfully. The only time he complained is when the priest poured the holy water on his head. Which I wouldn't have enjoyed either. We then served lunch to our guests in the cafertia of the church immediately following the Baptism.
We decided against the traditional white baby outfit used for Baptisms. None of them seemed to suit an older child or him. So I found a cute sweater vest, black courdorys and a white dress shirt that really looked nice on him and he knew it. It was if he knew that he was the guest of honor, he turned on the charm, worked the room and won a few hearts. He meet many of his relatives for the first time and he certainly made quite the first impression.
He was so wore out from working the room and partying that he fell asleep shortly after we left for home in the van. After we got hom Dave carried into his bed and he took a two hour power nap! He is now running around the living room with the balloons we bought for the food table.
Here are a few pictures of our afternoon!
