Hoam Kiem Lake

Saturday we walked to Ngoc Son Temple and Hoam Kiem Lake. It is a beautiful place. There are beautiful willow trees that bend to meet the waters edge. There were lots of people just walking around the waters edge and sitting on marble benches. There were two bridal couples and we were debating whether they were actual couples or models. We have seen several photo shoots while we have been here.

The Keim Lake is thought to have giant turtles in the lake. There is a red bridge that goes from one side of the lake to a tower in the center of the lake that goes to The Tortois Tower which has a large turtle preserved inside the tower. In Vietnam turtles are considered to be good luck. The pictures do not do the area justice it was very hazy when we were there.
